Pune, Aug 13: D Y Patil International University (DYPIU), Akurdi, Pune successfully completed a 2-day Induction program for the new students across streams hailing from 2024 Batch at its campus on 06th and 07th August, 2024.

The University has kick-started four new courses, keeping in view the demand. They include Core Engg branches of Mechanical, Civil and Chemical which have been completely revamped with introduction of new technologies such as AI along with Generative AI, Digital Fabrication with Generative Design & Digital Twins.

Besides, work is on for setting up of a Modern Workshop within the University premises, measuring 7000 sq ft with complete renovation. The facility will be meant for additive, subtractive & formative manufacturing along with hybrid systems with modern equipment.

The university has taken a bold step by introducing BTech (Semiconductor) for the first time in the country and an appropriate semiconductor lab is being set up too. Rather than making programs industry relevant, the University has been transforming industry to new age technology with a view to making India Manufacturing Hub of the world and taking the lead over China.

Addressing the gathering, Prof Prabhat Ranjan, Founder Vice Chancellor, DYPIU, Akurdi, Pune, said, “We are likely to join Top Three economies of the world in terms of GDP growth over next 3 years and in my opinion, India would become the Top economy by 2047.”

Ratnesh Dangi, Managing Director & Company Head-India, IDMWORKS, who was the chief guest on the first day of the event, said in his speech that we must focus on emotional competence to ensure our growth.

Sameer Shukla, Ex. VP & Head of Global Customer Service Centre, Nielsen IQ, who was the chief guest on the concluding day of the event, advised the students to focus on effort and dedication as the success will follow. He also asked the students to aim high and go all out.
